Today, we will explore the "Create Perpendicular Lines Spaced Along Selected Line/Area Feature(s)" tool, which draws perpendicular lines at regular intervals along a selected line segment.

This feature is frequently used in drawings for cross-sectional analysis of business sites, roads, and rivers.

First, draw an Area and a Line arbitrarily on the main screen.

After selecting both objects,

Select Advanced Feature Creation Options -> Create Perpendicular Lines Spaced Along Selected Line/Area Feature(s)...

A window to set the spacing will appear.

This is the same as what we learned in the previous lesson. There is nothing additional to explain here.

After choosing your desired options and clicking OK,

A window will appear to set the length of the lines perpendicular to the segment.

Enter the desired length and click OK.

Next, you will be prompted to select the layer where the lines will be included.

You can include them in an existing layer or create a new one. I created a layer named "test." After clicking OK,

Yes. Perpendicular lines have been generated along the selected segment at the set length.

It is exactly the same as adding points, which we did in the last session. The only addition is setting the length of the perpendicular lines.
